Instructions on how to use our flames
Read these instructions well before use.
Keep this manual in a safe place so that you can refer to it whenever necessary.
Precautions for use:
The COLOR-TORCH is not a candle. The COLOR-TORCH is designed for outdoor use only. The COLOR-TORCH is not refillable. Throw it away after use. Never burn any other liquid in the COLOR-TORCH. Never touch, move or handle the COLOR-TORCH while it is burning. Do not blow on the flame to extinguish the COLOR-TORCH but snuff it. Keep the COLOR-TORCH away from any flame or combustible material before lighting it. Always place the COLOR-TORCH on a stable flat surface. For safe and easy lighting ensure there is a distance of approximately 200 mm between each COLOR-TORCH. The flame length can be up to 170mm. If arranged in a closer pattern ensure while lighting that you hand is away from the flame of already ignited torches, lighting in an upwind sequence. Never leave a flame unattended. Keep a safe distance of approximately 0.5 of a meter while the COLOR-TORCH is burning. Keep out of reach of children. Always ensure that torches are empty before recycling or disposing of the can. When extinguished and cool place the screw cap firmly back on the can then keep the empty COLOR-TORCH in a dry and well-ventilated place.
How to use:
Take the COLOR-TORCH out of its cardboard packaging. Unscrew the cap of the COLOR-TORCH,
straighten the wick and light it using a lighter, preferably keeping a reasonable distance. To extinguish the COLOR-TORCH while it is burning, use a bell-shaped heat resistant object or a candle snuffer to smother the flame. Wait a few minutes before putting the cap back on. To reuse the COLOR-TORCH, remove the cap, pull the burnt wick upwards and trim the burnt section leaving approximately 2 cm of wick. (This process can be done twice). Wash your hands after handling it.
Lengthening the wick = a higher flame and shorter duration.
Shortening the wick (trimming it) = a smaller flame and longer duration
Non-refillable torch. Make sure you separate your rubbish. If the fuel is spilt on the ground then dilute with water.
Recycling the can:
If the can is empty it should be recycled with normal metal recycling although local rules should be checked.
